In most developed countries, access to hot and cold running water and to effective and efficient disposal systems are taken for granted. Beyond these activities, there has been a lack in both perception and interest. Our design activities extend beyond the design of conventional supply and disposal systems that deliver flow rates and pressures, into the following areas:

• Consumption of appliances

• Recycling of water

• Local water supplies using boreholes

• Rainwater harvesting

• Water efficient irrigation

• Local treatment of effluent

• Sustainable Urban Drainage systems
