An existing secondary school housed in 1950s steel framed, glass panelled structure. Developed in careful consultation with all stakeholders as part of a DfES ‘School Works' project. The school has been completely remodelled creating a dramatic new space using a variable transmission ETFE roof over the central courtyard, providing a new library, auditorium, music block and refurbishment of classrooms. The project was managed without decanting and Phase 1 was completed in early 2004.
