This building for the Archaeolink Trust in a sensitive area of Scottish Countryside in a pivotal position between various archaeological features is a partially underground building, one end of which is an artificial hill containing an audio-visual theatre, a glazed valley facing east/west with glass shading and an underground restaurant at the other. The building uses a large insulating umbrella below the ground which works as a passive annual heat store. This is the first application of this American method of energy saving in this country
